Waxing is a popular method of getting rid of unwanted hair. However, the method does involve pain and leaves your skin highly vulnerable and sensitive. It needs extra care and pampering. Else, it would lead to redness, bumps, irritation and itching. Below mentioned are some tips that would help you soothe the skin and get it back to normal.
Moisturize the area well
Immediately after a waxing session, the expert applies a soothing moisturizing lotion, preferably with an aloe or a lavender formulation. They help soothe the skin and cool them to normalcy. This should be applied for at least two to three days after the waxing session.
Wear comfortable clothes
If you have waxed your bikini area or any such body part; it is best to wear loose and comfortable clothing. Wearing tough clothes like jeans or wool would rub against the skin and cause irritation. It’s best to wear soft cotton cloth which soothe the skin.
Post waxing miscellaneous
After the waxing session of your nether areas, it is best to change and wear a fresh piece of cotton panties. This prevents any bacterial infection. It is even better if you go commando for at least a day so that the skin gets time to heal. Sex should also be avoided for the next two to three days or until the area has healed completely.

Stay away from the sun

Soak in a bath
You are advised to avoid hot steam and saunas. You must also avoid swimming as its chlorinated water might have adverse effect. But giving yourself a good soak in water which has dead sea salt or Epsom salt mixed will kill all kinds of germs and bacteria. It might initially sting but would prove extremely beneficial after some time.
