How to Make Eyelash Extensions Using Brush Bristles

Picture
Eyelash extensions have almost become a necessity for a lady who wants to look elegant or simply stand out from her peers. Unfortunately, this is a commodity that many would find too expensive to afford. Here is a simplified way you can make your own lash extensions using common brush bristles:
  • Collect the bristles you will use in making the lash extension. Cut a thread that you will use to create the seam of the lashes and hold it along the eye to get the width of the eyes and trim it to that size.
  • On a plastic surface, put a large strip of the eyelash adhesive and use the trimmed string to determine the width. Wait for two minutes so that the glue will cling properly to the surface.
  • Take the bristles cut from the brush and spread them along the glued thread until you achieve the width you desire. As you do this, press the bristles down using a spatula or your fingers to make sure they are properly stuck.
  • Once you have the required thickness, spread another thin layer of glue over the top side of the bristles to provide a seal to your seam. Wait for five minutes so that the glue will be completely dry.
  • Cautiously remove the strip from the plastic surface and cut off any excess glue or lashes so that the seam can be slim. Shape the lashes in your style of choice and if you notice any glue that is still visible, use an eyeshadow to cover it. The eyeshadow should match the color of the eyelash extensions.
  • Curl the eyelashes using tweezers until you achieve the curls you desire on the lashes. To hold the eyelashes in that shape, use a hairspray and brush them using the eyelash comb.
Now you have your own homemade eyelash extensions and you can go out looking as good as that person who spent a fortune buying hers.
