Sanitation Measures before a Client Checks in for Waxing Hair Removal

For a client to come back to your spa, you must perfect the art of hair removal and make her feel like the most important person in that organization.  Remember that this is a process that will be repeated many times and you should, therefore, give her every reason to come back.
Here are ways to keep the customers coming back after the first appointment:

• Ensure that the entire spa is spotlessly clean.
• Sterilize all the tools that will be used in the waxing hair removal session by use of an autoclave.
• If you use an applicator once, do not dip it again in the pot containing wax. Use a new applicator after every dip.
• Ensure that the garbage bin is emptied and cleaned before the client comes in; it will make a huge difference.
• Instead of exposing the tools being used, place them in a closed jar and only remove what you are using.
• Keep your hair under a clip to avoid getting in the way during the treatment. Any time you touch your hair, you become an avenue that can lead to the transfer of bacteria to the client’s body.
• Sanitize your hands before the start of the waxing procedure to ensure that there are no bacteria on them.
• If you will be using gloves during the waxing process, ensure that you do not use a pair of gloves on more than one client; as soon as you are done with a client, throw the gloves in a trash can and use a clean pair for the next client.

A client will trust you to deliver great results if the level of hygiene in your spa is high. It may sound like a lot of work to clean up after every client but it is worth it. That client will never think of getting services from another spa.
