Though waxing makes your skin smooth and helps in getting rid of unwanted hair, there are instances where you should keep off waxing hair removal process. These are:

• If your skin is too sensitive and you cannot bear pain: If you at one time tried waxing and you felt excessive pain, avoid repeating the process again.
• If you had tried waxing hair removal and you developed severe skin inflammation, burning sensation or red bumps, do not go for another session of waxing hair removal.
• If you have plans to go out in the sun, do not go for a waxing hair removal process as it will result to severe sunburns. If you must go out in the sun, schedule the hair removal process after you are recovered from excessive exposure to the sun.
• If your immune system is low, do not go for waxing hair removal as your infection will get worse as a result of the irritation resulting from the process.
• If you have plans to attend a very special occasion, do not go for a waxing hair removal session a few days to the occasion. Your skin may develop irritation; become reddish sore making you look really awful.
• If your last waxing session took place in a period less than four weeks, do not go for another session as the hair is not yet grown to a height that the wax will hold with ease.
• If you are pregnant: though waxing will not harm the unborn child, doing it when expectant will cause you to feel more pain as your skin is very sensitive.
• If you are suffering from infectious skin disease, you should avoid waxing; you should treat the skin condition fast and get on with the waxing hair removal afterwards.

Due to the sensitive nature of this procedure, it is not recommended for children under the age of eighteen years. It is a painful process and may damage the skin of underage children.
